I know Christmas doesn’t exist in the SU universe but I feel like this is a missed opportunity bc consider: the Gems learn that they have to make it look like Santa visited on Christmas morning. Of course, they take it WAY overboard.

Steven comes downstairs. There’s crime tape everywhere, a gaping hole in the screen door, dirt dragged all over the floor. All the Gems are sitting at the counter trying their absolute best to act natural.

Pearl says “Oh, Steven, thank GOODNESS you’re alright!! A man illegally broke into our house last night!! Un-be-LIEVABLE! Don’t worry, I have already notified the appropriate law enforcement officials, they are on their way. Merry Christmas!!”
