I have one hope for Saturday Night Live this week, and that is that they don’t make Kate McKinnon do Hillary Clinton’s concession speech. I hope that the writers have the decency to do so, and respect her enough as a friend not to put her through that.

It was heartbreaking enough watching her voice crack when she said “conversion therapy” last week, and how choked up she was at telling people to vote. I don’t think I could handle Kate McKinnon, an openly gay woman and literal ball of sunshine, having to stand up on that stage and pretend to be Clinton giving a speech in which she’s admitting defeat to a homophobic man.
