hey just fyi but about that daily dot article going around about “a movement connecting trans people with lawyers before Trump takes office: #TransLawHelp is on the case of updating trans people’s IDs“– #translawhelp is being run by Riley (yes, that Riley) noted pedophile and scam artist (see: the arkh project). it may still be a valuable resource but given that track record I wouldn’t expect them to do their homework re: screening lawyers, etc., so just, perhaps proceed carefully

also wanted to add to this: turns out one of the recourses on their site is TransLifeLine, a charity organization that has been also called a scam. i know its just a resource but i think its good information to know especially if you plan on donating.
