Guys. Guys. INTERNS.
Interns. Pages. Administrators. Aides. The President is surrounded by staff, some of whom are in college or just out of college. Trump is going to have a small army of young people working for him.
And Trump is a serial rapist.
Okay. I know I’m not likely to go viral, but dear Jesus please reblog this every time you see it and maybe it’ll reach some current or future staff in the White House. And if you are that future White House staff, send this to EVERYBODY you work with. Print it out and hand a copy to everyone who walks in the door. Inscribe this rule in your heads because it might save someone the worst experience of her life.
The rule is this: no woman must ever be left alone with Trump. Ever.
That means Congresswomen, lobbyists, journalists, ambassadors, guests, and janitorial/household staff, but ESPECIALLY interns and pages and aides. Women who are especially vulnerable to him thanks to their jobs and thanks to being younger. Sexual predators aren’t looking for Pretty, they’re looking for Vulnerable, and our future slimeball-in-chief has had decades of experience leveraging his power over vulnerable women. And now he’s about to ascend to the most powerful office in the country. The phrase “we’ve created a monster” comes to mind.
I’m dead serious, y’all. Buddy system. Always. Everywhere. Men, you need to step up here. Trump may not respect you any more than he does her but he doesn’t see you as a penis receptacle, so whenever he’s in the room your name is Meat Shield.
Women, girls – if the unthinkable happens, it is not your fault. Even if you forgot to buddy up or didn’t think you needed to or whatever, it is not. Your. Fault.
Take care of each other, and we’ll all get through this with a minimum of damage.
