So was I the only person who saw massive parallels drawn between Bonnie’s uncle’s words and actions towards the end of Bonnibel Bubblegum, and conversion therapy? He sets her up with a boyfriend (a principle she rejects immediately, reacting with near revulsion), and then creates a mind-altering chemical he claims will “fix” her. Was that just me?
