time to post some stupid headcanons and theories bc Episode One made me think
people forget that Shinichi is a geek
he reads books until morning
don’t tell me that sometimes Ran wouldn’t have to drag him to school

Ran has actually read some Sherlock books because at first she wanted to know what was Shinichi talking about, and she can enjoy his dorkish face

I know a lot of people think Shinichi left the tournament without watching the final fight, but I’m pretty sure after Ran blew up it’s implied he stayed till the end. The victim was murdered at the start of the party, Shinichi arrives late and even says so (Megure even says ‘you’re finally here’). You can see it on the change from day to near night, too. Shinichi said he’d be there right away, and yet he arrives very late to the party, so it’s likely he stayed even to the award ceremony.
