A funny way to interpret Ash’s non drastic reaction to being kissed was him just assuming that was just some weird Kalosian way of showing gratitude or platonic affection.

So like the next time he visits Misty, after spending the day hanging out at the gym, maybe getting some dinner, the last thing he does before he leaves is just fuckign plant one right on the lips and Misty’s face a mixture of shock, horror and confusion.

“Ash w-what was THAT?” she asks with her face completely red, and Ash just tilts his head and just goes “what? That’s how they say thank you in Kalos”.

Thing I need: Harley ragging on Drew for his outfit and consistently – and I mean CONSISTENTLY – inviting him out for shopping trips and waving fashion catalogues in his face. Drew is unsurprisingly uncaring.

Eventually Harley manages to trick him into going to a store and Drew lets it happen just to get Harley to leave him alone. Drew refuses to even try on most of what Harley picks and Harley practically slaps anything Drew picks up right out of his hand. Harley ends up on the verge of screaming where Drew is annoyed to the point of giving tight-lipped, one word sentences.

Even Harley realizes there’s no salvaging this shopping trip, so they leave empty-handed and miserable. Weeks go by and Drew is surprised that Harley hasn’t mentioned clothes since that day even once.

But then later one night, Drew finds a simple white box with string at his hotel door. It’s a new shirt, jacket, and pants. There’s a small piece of paper inside with Harley’s handwriting, ‘This isn’t my favorite work, but it’s my BEST. I still say red is your color but if you don’t want to match with your little ~girlfriend~, fine. I better see you in this next time!!’

Drew is hesitant to put the outfit on, wondering if there’s going to be a belly button cut out or something equally showy hidden somewhere. But it’s actually….perfect, really. He likes the colors and it isn’t too tight…maybe it is time he change his current outfit after all.

And that’s how Drew gets his ace trainer look :)c

Also, apparently Veronica Taylor and Rachel Lillis (Ash and Misty’s US VAs) have been hanging out together today, and Rachael has tweeted two short videos of them doing voice impressions. I can’t figure out how to embed videos from twitter but here they are:

https://twitter.com/RachaelLillis/status/788404655243923456

“Ash is driving me around L.A.”
“Yeah, and Misty is just… driving me crazy.”

“Ash, this is a dead end!”
“Um, yeah, but… always full of possibilities!”

@hollylu-ships-it

@warlordess Check these out !!! ❤️❤️❤️

OMG, I CAN’T… X’D I just screamed as a fangirl hahaha Love these two x’D

How wonderfull it’ll be if Gabo and Xochitl (Ash and Misty’s Latin Spanish voices) do something similar, but it’s more difficult hahaha.

OMG, THIS MADE MY DAY.

Ash, for goodness sake, you’re ten years old! You should not be behind the wheel of a vehicle (unless you’re in the backseat).

And Misty, c’mon girl, I thought you were more responsible than that!!

There’s a third video!! Heads up, @pokeshipping

Shaldon, that’s it! Me, too, me, too!
I couldn’t believe it when I’ve found the tweets of Veronica Taylor and Rachael Lillis. It was like an old dream coming up again and I was all like AWW. I love these two so much. This is it what makes the American voice actors so special. They’re even friends in real life. I couldn’t expect such actions of German voice actors. Many of them do their job “only because of the money”.

Seriously, though, one of the things I love about the Pokémon franchise is that the in-game compendia totally follow through on the premise that the greater part of the Pokédex has been written by preteen children playing at being naturalists, and not all of them have a clear idea of what that actually entails. You’ve got entries that mostly stick to empirical observations with the occasional off-the-wall conclusion thrown in; entries that compile painstakingly researched local legends with no apparent understanding that there’s a difference between facts and folklore; and then there are entries by that one kid who’s clearly just making shit up, Gary.
