Pokeshipping Week 2017 – November 1st – November 7th

Thank you for sending suggestions and voting! Here are the themes you chose!

  • Each theme can be interpreted in any way you’d like. Fanfiction, fanart, edits, gifs, AMVs, fanmixes, headcanons, analysis–be creative! Anything you’d like to contribute with is fine as long as it fits the theme.
  • You can do something for each theme or choose to do just one or two. Every contribution is welcome, no matter how small!
  • You can go with the same thing for every theme (ie a drawing for each day of the week) or pick something different for each.
  • Last year the theme choices caused some unhappiness, so here’s a compromise: you get ONE bonus “free day”. As in, if there’s one theme you really don’t like or are not comfortable with, you can replace it with something of your choosing. Only one though, no cheating!
  • It’s not a competition, so please don’t feel that your art, writing, editing skills etc. aren’t good enough to participate! The point is to have fun and make pokeshipping things.
  • Tag your contributions as “Pokeshipping Week” when you post them, so I can see them and reblog them here! Remember to put it among the first five tags, and please use that exact tag so I won’t have to follow 15 different variations 😉
  • NSFW entries or entries that contain character bashing won’t be reblogged here.

I wrote this for @birdgoddess on request, and liked it enough to share.

Misty was getting kind of tired of being led around by Ash. Mostly because he didn’t know where he was going. She could hear him mumbling about directions and groan as he realized the map was upside down. But Ash had insisted on the blindfold, and she had gone along with it because how bad could it possibly get? ‘Famous last words,’ she wanted to go back and tell herself.
On the bright side, neither of them was dead. Yet. She wasn’t counting her blessings before they were back at the Pokemon Center, alive and both in one piece. It had been a long day already, and the walk felt like it had been even longer.
So, when Ash declared that they were almost there, she let out a sigh of relief.
“Aaaand…. Here we are!” he declared, taking off the blindfold.
Her eyes struggled to adjust to the light, but once they did she was greeted with a beautiful view of the ocean from the edge of the cliffs.
“Worth it?” Ash asked, sounding hesitant.
“Definitely.”
“I brought a picnic basket, too,” he grinned.
Misty stared at him, her disbelief evident from her expression. “You made food?”
“No. When I told him I was going to take you out here, Brock made it,” he explained.
“Oh, good, then it’s safe to eat,” she teased.
“Like your cooking’s any better,” he huffed in response, but they laid out the picnic blanket and food without any real arguments. They had both long ago accepted that neither of them was very skilled in the culinary arts.
“So, why this place?” Misty asked.
“Well, I know you love the ocean, and I heard it’s a good place to watch the sun set.”
Misty was honestly surprised by that, but as she took in the view of the sun falling from the sky, she couldn’t disagree. “I think you heard right,” was all the said, though she did reach for his hand.

A funny way to interpret Ash’s non drastic reaction to being kissed was him just assuming that was just some weird Kalosian way of showing gratitude or platonic affection.

So like the next time he visits Misty, after spending the day hanging out at the gym, maybe getting some dinner, the last thing he does before he leaves is just fuckign plant one right on the lips and Misty’s face a mixture of shock, horror and confusion.

“Ash w-what was THAT?” she asks with her face completely red, and Ash just tilts his head and just goes “what? That’s how they say thank you in Kalos”.

Also, apparently Veronica Taylor and Rachel Lillis (Ash and Misty’s US VAs) have been hanging out together today, and Rachael has tweeted two short videos of them doing voice impressions. I can’t figure out how to embed videos from twitter but here they are:

I couldn’t believe it when I’ve found the tweets of Veronica Taylor and Rachael Lillis. It was like an old dream coming up again and I was all like AWW. I love these two so much. This is it what makes the American voice actors so special. They’re even friends in real life. I couldn’t expect such actions of German voice actors. Many of them do their job “only because of the money”.
