Braid: Linking rainbow flag to swastika a dark, ugly slur
“Vile” is a mild word for John Carpay’s linking of the swastika and the hammer and sickle with the rainbow flag of Gay Pride.
His comments at a Rebel gathering on Saturday were disgusting, demeaning and dangerous.

Just to clarify, this is a motion within the Conservative party, but not an actual bill, right? Like it hasn’t become law yet? And hopefully won’t, as long as the tories stay out of power at the federal level?
It’s a policy motion.
It could very easily become part of the Conservative’s election platform. It was voted in favour by the Conservative Party of Canada’s delegates at their annual convention.
Andrew Scheer himself defended the policy that was passed by his party and indicated that he wants to ban ‘birth tourism’:

Yes. Before the sculptures were built, the land was sacredly owned by indigenous tribes. In 1980, the land was illegally taken away from them by the supreme court. Not to mention, one of the main people who manufactured the sculptures was literally apart of the KKK… So yeah.. they are more than welcome to flip off these so called “masterpieces”

Hi, White American Liberals.
Canada’s “Universal Healthcare System” is one of the worst universal healthcare systems in the world, ranking only above France and the USA’s private system:
Canada’s health-care system is third-last in new ranking of developed countries
It does not cover prescriptions, dental, visioncare and access to mental healthcare is sparse. For some procedures there can also be lengthy waits.
People in Canada right now have to make decisions on whether they should eat or buy prescription medication.
It only looks good compared to the US because the US’s healthcare system is a trash fire.
There are however some politicians (i.e. The NDP) in Canada that are trying to make our healthcare system better by covering prescriptions, dental, increase funding, etc
It also does not help that Liberal and Conservative governments have been cutting funding for healthcare for decades.
I am grateful that I don’t have to pay out of pocket to visit a doctor or hospital, but our system could be a lot better than it is.
I cannot believe the canadian department of justice literally just subtweeted the ontario government. (x)
