TBH ppl on this website have a troubling tendency to act like autistic people are just being cringey and dramatic for no reason when we’re displaying our literal symptoms, or class us as Disabled Lite™️ while accepting mental illnesses as valid & deserving of compassion (even if sometimes misguidedly)….

idk what the fuck is up with that but like i’m glad that ppl have started avoiding words like insane or psycho or delusional as an insult etc but like y’all also need to stop making copypasta memes of autistic people replying to harassment with a “weird” tone of voice, you need to stop making “let’s oppress [fandom with a large autistic population]” jokes, you need to stop doubting us when we say we’re having a meltdown, you need to stop disrespecting our boundaries, you need to stop stealing our language, you need to stop ignoring us when we say we need you to be more clear/indicate sarcasm and jokes/tell us outright when you need things from us, you need to stop making fun of us for not getting the joke, you need to stop making fun of us for responding to you seriously when you “meant it as a joke,” you need to stop commenting on our speech patterns, you need to extend your anti-ableist attitude to us too
