honest to god, this is a lot funnier if you pay attention to the plants in the last few panels. I recognize a few of the poisonous plants, but there are also breeds of flowers that specifically smell like rotting meat.

Imagine if Lapis and Peridot accidentally fuse and the fusion just stands there in shocked silence. Steven and the gems would watch with worry, expecting some horrible reaction, when suddenly, the fusion softly touches her nose and realizes Jasper’s gem isn’t there. She then touches her forehead and feels Peridot’s gem and a single tear drops out of her eye because it feels so different from the last time.
