I’m not saying the new seasons are bad, I’m just saying Winx is Italy’s cartoon equivalent of Spongebob. Do with that information what you will.

So… we are pretty much all in agreement Winx Club is very gay, correct?
Don’t take this as me defending the newer transformations, but at this point we all know Winx Club is the kind of magical girl show that invents new fairy forms every season as part of their strategy to keep things interesting (and also to sell merchandise). With the pressure to churn out so many different evolutions, coupled with the challenge to animate them, it’s to be expected that some of them are hit or miss. We all have our preferences, and it’s okay to like or dislike any particular transformation that doesn’t vibe with you.
What’s kind of pointless and counterproductive is to compare every single new transformation to Enchantix. Now, don’t get me wrong, Enchantix is pretty, it’s a fan favorite for good reason, and I’m not telling you you’re wrong or clouded by nostalgia or a purist or whatever for liking it. I’m not even saying you’re wrong for thinking no transformation will ever measure up to it, because that’s like, your opinion, bruh.
What I am getting sick and tired of, however, is constantly seeing the new transformations being compared unfavorably to Enchantix. It’s gotten to the point where they just don’t stand a chance. It’s like instead of being judged on their own merit, they’re judged on some kind of Enchantix standard. Which is odd, because they’re not Enchantix, they were never meant to look like Enchantix, their styles aren’t supposed to resemble Enchantix’s.
(The only transformation lucky enough to escape this fate most of the time is Believix despite its polarizing reception.)
Basically, my only wish is for this fandom to dissect new transformations and judge them as they are, not as what they look like compared to Enchantix.
P.S. In fact, I don’t really understand why fandom makes such a big deal over the newest transformation before every new season airs because if you don’t like it, you’ll only have to endure it for 26 episodes before another one takes its place.
