charlie brooker literally said in the post-emmys interview that he initially tried to write san junipero about a heterosexual couple and it kinda sucked and he switched them to a same-sex couple and it immediately became much better and also easier to write and he finished it with ‘so that’s my writing tip’… the only true ally

The Permanent Special Interest: This, as the name implies, is the permanent one. It never seems to go away, even if you have other minor special interests. This one can last for decades, and can even influence things such as career choices

The Changing Special Interest: These special interests can come and go rapidly. Some can change every few months, some can change every one or two weeks. They can co-exist with the permanent special interest

The Constantly Returning Special Interest: This is the one that you constantly lose and regain interest in. You have moments where you’re not interested in it as much, and moments where it really excites you. It’s like a continuous cycle

i love jokes about straight people as much as the next lgbt person, but tbh sometimes i think people can go too far with the straight/cis/ally hate

my reason for this is because, a lot of these “cishets” that want into our community or “safe spaces” might be closeted, or still questioning.

as a bisexual & nonbinary person, there were plenty of times where i wasn’t sure if i was “enough” to be lgbt, and i’ve known plenty of “straight allies” and “cis allies” that… turned out not to be as straight as they thought. but i never pressured them. and even though i am lgbt, it’s still ***none of my business*** whether they are closeted or not.

i’d rather let some over enthusiastic straight/cis kid hang around and learn more about the lgbt community than risk ostracizing an lgbt person that isn’t ready to come out.

k so now Fantastic Beasts is a movie will Tales of Beedle the Bard and Quidditch Through The Ages be one too?

I would honestly love to see a documentary-style production of Quidditch Through The Ages complete with expert interviews, dramatic reenactments, a couple grainy black and white videos, and maybe some medieval art of people on broomsticks.
