theconfusedhufflepuff:

some more things abt love, simon bc i’m still emo:

  • simon has a different email in the book, but there’s a reference to it on the wall next to his bed (“hour to hour, note to note” can be seen behind him when he looks out his window)
  • everyone clapped, cheered, and cried during the ferris wheel scene
  • lots of things were different in the book but i honestly wouldn’t change anything about the movie because imo the changes made the story even more emotional and even as someone who read the book the movie was still suspenseful
  • simon spier is a cannon hufflepuff and that made me really happy
  • simons parents reactions to his coming out in the movie were. spectacular. those scenes were exceptional and very emotional and overall done super well.
  • i’m gonna read the book and see the movie at least a couple more times
  • simon is hella relatable. (see: “i like your boots!”)
  • the characters are portrayed beautifully in both the book and the movie. no personality is limited to being characterized by sexuality or by a single trait
  • the book and movie were gorgeous and i’m in love
  • also don’t forget there’s gonna be a sequel from leah’s perspective, in which she comes out as bi !!!
